Karen.
Karen Spence is a Clinical Psychologist and co-director of Kiin Health, dedicated to supporting kids, teens, families, and adults through life’s challenges. With over a decade of experience working with anxiety, mood disorders, family and relationship stress, tricky childhood behaviours and trauma, she takes a warm and practical approach to therapy, helping clients build resilience, connection, and lasting well-being.

Kids, Teens and Families
Karen specialises in working with kids and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, school avoidance, social isolation, self-harm, disordered eating, and screen-related challenges.
She views all behaviour as a form of communication and works closely with families to strengthen healthy relationship dynamics and emotional resilience. With a growing focus on supporting neurodiverse kids and their families, Karen values a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that equips both young people and their parents with the tools to navigate challenges and build stronger connections.

Adults & Individuals
Karen works with adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, addiction, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. She has a special interest in perinatal mental health, guiding parents through the complexities of early parenthood.
Using a collaborative approach, she integrates a range of evidence-based therapies, including CBT, Schema Therapy, DBT, ACT, EMDR, IFS, attachment-based parenting models, and systemic family therapy.
Karen prioritises helping clients understand their mental health patterns, develop healthier and more sustainable ways of navigating life's challenges, and align their lives with their values to foster long-term emotional well-being.

“Self-awareness does not come from introspection alone, but through a process of being known by others.”
